Q: How do I pay for my order?

A: Credit/Debit Card Payment: If you wish to pay by Debit / Credit Card PLEASE SELECT THE NOCHEX PAYMENT OPTION ON THE CHECKOUT PAGE.  We have chosen Nochex as our preferred secure payment system for Debit / Credit card payments. To pay, click on the 'Checkout' box on the 'Shopping Cart' page, select the Delivery Method, complete your address details, read the 'Payment & Postal Terms' and tick to accept. You can then select your payment method and complete your order. We take on-line security very seriously. Please note that you may be asked to answer some additional security questions when paying by Credit / Debit Card if your bank is  participating in the latest anti-fraud scheme. Please be reassured that the information you provide is not seen or stored by Sweet Things Direct at any time.

PayPal:If you wish to pay using your PayPal account, select your products and go to the CHECKOUT page, select the Delivery Method, confirm your details, click to confirm you have read the Payment & Postal Terms, then click on the PayPal button to complete your transaction.

Q: When and how will my products be delivered?

A: Sweet Things Direct delivers to destinations inside the United Kingdom. Where delivery is required outside of the UK, we will quote delivery costs for this. We cannot send products to the United States of America or Canada.

Delivery outside the EU may be subject to local import taxes, which are your responsibility where they apply. If so, the shipping company should contact you by telephone once your products are in customs to let you know the charge due or else you should consult your local customs office. Unfortunately we cannot advise you what these charges will be and Sweet Things Direct is not responsible for them.
UK orders are despatched by Royal Mail or Courier. The Courier will require a signature at the time of delivery. We will make every effort to deliver your products within 5 working days, however we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery.
If the products are not delivered within the estimated delivery time that we have quoted, please contact us by telephone or e-mail and we will try to ensure that you receive your order, as quickly as possible. Please note that items sent by Royal Mail usually arrive within 2-3 days. Royal Mail stipulate that only items still not delivered after fifteen working days will be classified as lost.

Q: How does the 'Post & Packaging' work?

A: Here at Sweet Things Direct, we charge only appropriate Post and Packaging rates. For example, Post and Packing rates start at just £1.60 with the maximum charge for UK orders up to 25kgs being just £5.99.

Post and Packaging is automatically calculated and included within your total order value for all orders weighing up to 25kgs. For orders over 25kgs for all delivery locations, postal charges will be on an individual case basis. We will contact you following receipt of your order to confirm delivery charges and will always seek your approval before processing your order.

We are currently offering FREE delivery on all orders over £50 excluding postage to a mainland UK address.

Please note that all orders (UK delivery only) over 1.25kgs will automatically be sent by courier.


Q: Do you deliver overseas?

A: Yes we deliver worldwide, except the US and Canada. Please note that we do deliver to BFPO addresses. Please see details on our Post & Packing rates for overseas deliveries.

Q: Do I receive a confirmation once I have placed my order?

A: Yes, you will receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you provide at the point of order.


Q: What happens if an item I have ordered is out of stock?

A: Due to the nature of the products that we sell, we cannot always guarantee its availability. If we can't supply a product we will check with you to see whether we can find a suitable alternative. Where we are unable to do so, any payment already made, will be refunded in full.

Q: Can I have a refund if I change my mind?

A: We aim to give excellent customer service and to ensure that you are satisfied every time you place an order with us. If you wish to cancel, or are unhappy with an item when you receive it, please return it to us within 7 working days, with the despatch note, in unused condition, complete with packaging and all contents. We will refund you the price you paid for that product (excluding postage and packaging).

We will make the refund within 30 days once we have inspected the returned item and are satisfied that it has been returned to us in the condition it was in when delivered to you. You will only have to pay for the return postage of the products.
Certain products and services are excluded from this returns policy, including perishable items, personalised products or those made to order. These items cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Q: How do I use a promotion code?

A: When you place your order you will be asked to enter any promotion code you have in the box provided in your shopping cart / checkout screens.

Please note that promotional products, codes or special offers will be clearly defined together with any qualifying conditions. We reserve the right to refuse the use of a promotional product, code or special offer should we deem that qualifying conditions are not being adhered to. 

Q: If I want something different to what's on offer, can you help?

A: We do our very best to accommodate special requests including tracking down confectionary that's hard to find. Please either send us an e-mail or call us to discuss your requirements.
